Quince belong to the same group of fruits as pears and apples. Quince is one of the oldest known fruits.
Quince is native to southwest Asia and Caucasus region which includes countries such as Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan. Although quince is native to this part of the world, quince is now also grown in various parts of the USA. However, it is reported that the Asian variety of quince is easier to juice due the Asian variety being softer thus supplying more juice.
