Does pickling remove the benefits?

I'm very interested in the benefits of beetroot and beetroot juice and I love the taste of pickled beets. My question: does the pickling process remove the benefits?

Jesse's Answer:

Pickling does not remove the benefits. Instead, it slightly alters or changes the benefits since now there is vinegar and other ingredients.

Essentially, pickling changes the energy of whatever vegetable was pickled due the other ingredients being added.

Pickling is used to naturally preserve vegetables. Many cultures have survived many winters thanks to pickling. So the benefits and nutrition are still in the pickled vegetables, but like I said, the other ingredients begin to change the energy of the food.

So if you enjoy pickles, then that's okay. You are still getting many of the benefits along with different benefits of a non-pickled vegetables.

Hatha Yoga

Have you been wanting to do hatha yoga (stretching) but have found it either too difficult or you are not that flexible? If yes, and even if no, watch Jesse do some pure hatha yoga routines.

Unlike flow yoga, each pose in pure or traditional hatha yoga is held for a few minutes. While holding the pose, you focus the mind on the stretch. When you focus the mind, that's when you find silence.

Jesse is not flexible — never has been and probably never will be flexible like others. But it doesn't matter. In pure hatha yoga, how flexible you are makes no difference. It's all about loving the pose and focussing the mind on the stretch.

If you want to learn pure hatha yoga, now you can by following Jesse on a series of hatha yoga routines.
